Group Class Descriptions

We offer Group Yoga Classes everyday. Drop-ins are welcome. And mats are available for use.

Awareness & Balance Thru Chakras
Rooted in Vinyasa, this class will use the seven spinal Chakras as a tool and reference point for a slow-paced, alignment-focused, therapeutic-oriented flow practice. According to students' needs, a chakra will become the center from which a practice revolves. Meditation incorporating Intention, movement inspired by Anatomy, and a Restorative element will be incorporated each class. All levels encouraged. 75 minute class, $15 drop-in.

Beach Yoga
Put some sand in your practice and enjoy a yoga class on the beach!  All Levels Welcome.
Please meet at Whale Park (corner of 3rd & Hemlock), across the street and just North of the studio. Mats will not be provided. Please bring a beach towel to practice on and anything else that you need to sit comfortably. Please dress in layers. Class is weather dependent.  $15 Drop-in.

Chair Yoga
This gentle yoga class is practiced while seated or using a chair for support. The adapted Hatha Yoga postures are designed to build strength and flexibility and improve circulation through movement that is linked with the breath. Recommended for beginners, those new to yoga or those nursing an injury or illness. 60 minute class, $12 drop-in.

Gentle Stretch

This class will be primarily on the floor to accommodate deep stretching. Class focus will rotate between hips, twists, shoulders, backbends, and forward bends. Beginners and returning students welcome. 60 minute class, $12 drop-in.

Gentle Yoga

Open to all students endeavoring to find a therapeutic relationship with Yoga.  We will use self-massage techniques, low-intensity vinyasa asana practice and restorative poses to help each individual discover their personal Yogic needs.  We will focus on using Yoga as a tool to balance energetically and physically. Classes may also touch upon Chakra theory, Reflexology, Thai Yoga Therapy, and Pranayama among other practices.  Students are encouraged to come with questions or themes that interest them, but most importantly a "Beginner's mind."  60 minute class, $12 drop-in.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is active relaxation. Reclined positions supported with bolsters & pillows stimulate and relax the body, moving it toward balance. No experience necessary, available to most fitness levels. Class size is limited to 10, preregistration is recommended.  90 minute class, $18 drop-in.

Sculpt & Conditioning
Incorporates both low and high cardio, yoga and weight training all in one for a full body workout. Teacher will guide you in correct alignment and posture for your workout. Strong abs equal strong bodies. Learn better body awareness. All levels welcome.  60 minute class, $12 drop-in.

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa is a style that links breath and movement with a heat building sequence of postures. This class is designed to build strength, stamina and flexibility while maintaining precise alignment and technique. Each class is unique. We'll begin with a seated warm up, then use the Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) to focus on a particular theme, anatomy or anatomical movement. This will be followed by options of Standing Poses, Balances Poses, or Supine Poses. Modifications of poses will be offered. All Levels are Welcome. $15 for 75 Minute Class; $18 for 90 Minute Class.


Yin/Restorative Yoga
A more meditative approach with a physical focus much deeper than Yang-like practices. Access deeper tissues such as connected tissue and fascia. Many of the postures focus on areas that encompass a joint (hips, sacrum, spine). As one ages, flexibility in the joints decrease. Yin Yoga is a wonderful way to maintain flexibility. Restorative poses will also be used to add deeper relaxation.  60 minute class, $12 drop-in.

Yoga Basics 
This class introduces movement technique in yoga postures (asanas). For those new to yoga and those returning to their practice. $12 for 60 minute class; $15 for 75 minute class.
